Özel Başak İlköğretim Okulu ve Lisesi 1995 yılında şu an Meram Çıraklık Eğitim Merkezinin bulunduğu binada Anasınıfı, 1.sınıf, 2. sınıf, 3. sınıf, 4. sınıf, 5. sınıf, 6. sınıf ve Lise 1 olarak 80 öğrenci ile eğitim hayatına başladı. 1997 yılında şu anda eğitim-öğretimin devam ettiği Tıp Fakültesi karşısındaki binasına taşındı. Anasınıfından Lise 4.sınıfa kadar tüm sınıflarda eğitim-öğretim devam etmektedir.
