Island TV is the best Zanzibar local Televisionchannel with the HD Quality Picture, broadcast from Zanzibar which designed to develop to the viewers of Zanzibar islands and Tanzania in general an appreciation of the uniqueness, wealth and diversity of educational, entertainment and motivation programs based on social, economic, political and cultural topics from Tanzania and other parts of the world, it is owned by Island Media Group and was established and licensed by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar in 2015 under The Zanzibar Broadcasting Commission in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the section 12(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act of 1997.
